At least on Ubuntu after clicking on download for an attachment you have to go find it on your own. It'd be great if you could open it immediately after downloading right from Hiri.
Much needed. I was actually thinking that downloading attachments does not work, and was about to drop Hiri.
Agree, it's a pretty bad workflow to download an attached file in Hiri and then have to go off to the file manager and navigate to the download folder just to open it...
What I observed is that you can open attachments directly but only if you don't use snap to install Hiri - so using the tarball install option works
+1 on such a feature. I would be happy with some sort of recent download list similar to what is used in Firefox or Chrome, where you can click to open the file, or show the file in its directory. On Linux, this can be done by calling "xdg-open <filename>" or "<xdg-open directory>".
You won't be notified about changes to this idea.
