Linux tray icon the produces alerts

    I say if the tray icon could show the number of unread messages would be awesome.

    System notifications exist but the tray icon does not show if you have unread email, so the application must be opened to check that.

     

    For exaple if you were away from the screen, then a notifiation will be shown but when it dissappears, you don't know if there is unread email.

    System notifications have been added in version 1.3.5. Go to Settings -> Preferences to set whethever you want to receive them for all emails or only for meetings/task reminders.

    Linux/snap note
    If you're using Hiri snap package, you'll need to have at least version 2.30 of snapd. To check your version:

    snap version

    At this time version 2.30 is in candidate channel. To install it:

    snap refresh core --candidate

    We expect 2.30 to hit the stable channel in the next few days.
